The Young EFCS welcomes you to its community!
As a constantly growing group of residents, and early career cytopathologists we are here to represent our generation in the cytology society. As of our duty we cultivate the EFCS Newsreel on this site, where we are committed to keep the society up-to-date on the ripest events. Besides, we ourselves create interview articles with esteemed figures and colleagues of the international cytology scene, write introductions of the national societies we are from, share our congresses experiences and present interesting cases monthly.
With this group we look forward to providing opportunities to cooperate among our members, in the topic of mentorship, in matching fields of interests in cytology, and between us and the EFCS Scientific Committee. Furthermore, we are constant presenters at the European Cytology Congresses and occasional faculty at other international congresses with our projects and case presentations.
If you feel involved, we are waiting for you! We would be more than happy to share your cases, introduce your society, and your ideas on the Newsreel. You might find someone like-minded among us to team up for a common scientific project in your field of interest in cytology or be eligible to join in on an EFCS scientific project. Or you might have a thought to add to the design of our mentorship surveys, especially aimed at education and to explore residents’ needs. Maybe you are strong on expressing yourself on social media, you could join our X and LinkedIn team led by Cioly to spread our word. Or you just wish to get to know new friends in cytology, this is the place and you are more than welcome!
Look for our content on X (@efcsyoung) and LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/youngefcs-committee-267253347/) and if you wish to join our group, feel free to contact Christina (christinakabjorngustafsson@gmail.com) our Mentor or us directly at youngefcs@gmail.com!
Warmly,
István Kovács
